- Additional notes
- ----------------
-
- Up to 32 blinds may be made.
-
- ---------------
-
- The Blinds icon on the icon bar may be turned off
- by altering a line in the !Run file.
-
- Normally :
- If "<Blinds$Icon>" = "" Then Set Blinds$Icon On
-
- To turn it off:
- If "<Blinds$Icon>" = "" Then Set Blinds$Icon Off
-
- This may be done even when !Blinds is loaded.
- E.g
- An OBEY file issuing the command:
- Set Blinds$Icon Off
- will turn it off.
-
- An OBEY file issuing the command:
- Set Blinds$Icon On
- will turn it back on.
-
- If you look within the !Blinds application.
- (Hold down the Shift key and double click on the !Blinds
- application).
- You will see two OBEY files, On and Off.
- Each turns the Blinds icon on the icon bar on or off on
- command as mentioned above.
-
- ---------------
-
- A future version of Blinds will offer a optional
- password protection system to prevent a user entering
- the editing mode.
-
- ---------------
-
- The full version of Blinds also has the ability to save
- the Wimp icons sprites used by applications when the user
- saves the default set up file. This drastically reduces the time
- for a computer to boot up as all the icon sprites would come from
- the one sprite file and not a large number of different locations.
- This option is particularly useful for persons operating a network
- system.
